OVERVIEW

Yin & Yang Shop of Harmony is a living practice for those seeking alignment through the ancient wisdom of Chinese metaphysics—where Feng Shui, energy mapping, and intuitive living converge. I was tasked with communicating this positioning to both its patrons and prospective clientele.

The rollout business plan I created for when the shop relocated to its new place of business at New World Makati Hotel outlined how the brand could leverage an attractive product mix while equally optimizing the shop’s business potential, banking on the celebrated provenance and prowess of its consultants—from renowned Filipino Feng Shui specialist, Princesse Lim Fernandez to its current chief consultant Patrick Lim Fernandez, a decorated academic, and its seasoned shop founder, Arlene Fernandez, at the helm.

It was also critical for the Yin & Yang Shop Of Harmony team to partner with an advertising agency—ODV Creative, which turned the business plan’s vision into a lucrative and sustainable practice.

  • Business Context

The client was looking to grow its base business and strengthen loyalty and advocacy amongst its patrons. The goal: to be the preferred Feng Shui consultancy in the Philippines and to nurture its clientele into compelling advocates.

    Strategic Approach

The target market breakdown, informed marketing strategies and integrated marketing tactical execution formed the foundation of the business plan.

    Tactical Execution

To support the client’s goals and objectives, I created a comprehensive business plan backed by an integrated marketing communications plan that focused on:

    • A market analysis and competitor benchmarking to understand the products/services demand and price points.

    • Creation of a product mix that encourages repeat and referral consultations and a robust patronage of the shop’s curated Feng Shui tokens.

    • A cycle of publicity strategy that employs features in reputable television programs and major publications, putting the spotlight on the shop’s Feng Shui consultants through major events that nurture a strong bond and advocacy among its patrons.
